Rabbit to draw for adult art therapy.
The word rabbit is a very general term which designates in French certain lagomorphic animals with long ears. They are differentiated from hares by a less slender silhouette and by the young who are born blind and naked. These animals therefore do not correspond to a precise level of scientific classification.
“Rabbit” is in fact an ambiguous vernacular name, designating only a part of the different species of mammals classified in the family Leporidae, a family that includes both hares and rabbits. Long classified in the order of rodents, they are now in an order in their own right: the Lagomorphs.
By saying “rabbit”, however, we most often refer to the domestic rabbit from the wild rabbit, the wild species of European origin which has spread almost everywhere, since it is the basis of the many breeds of rabbits now bred all over the world, including dwarf rabbits. However, rabbits are not limited to this single European species: there are indeed more than twenty species of wild rabbits in the world, distributed in nine biological genera, but several of which are threatened with extinction and protected.
