Valentine’s day doodle to draw.

————————————————————–

First, February 14th is Valentine’s Day. This is considered in most countries as the feast of love. Usually, couples take advantage of this day to exchange proofs of love such as little notes, gifts and red roses which are the emblem of passion.

February 14 does not correspond to any holiday in Roman religion and has no ancient origin. The Lupercalia, taking place on February 15, cannot be considered a lovers’ day, contrary to what some people think. The actual origin of this holiday is from the fourteenth century in Britain, which was still Catholic. The day of February 14 was celebrated as a feast of lovers because it was thought that the birds chose this day to pair. Remaining alive in the Anglo-Saxon world, like Halloween, this holiday then spread across the continent in recent times.
