First, spooky is an English term sometimes used by French speakers to describe something scary. According to wikipedia, this word is related to ghost and/or supernatural stories. A spookie sensation refers to a sensation that gives goosebumps. For a film, the expression is used in the sense of “Which is chilling in the back”. And the term sinister should be used rather than spookie when talking about a person, a place, an atmosphere, a music.
