First, the pride parade, “Lesbian & Gay Pride”, bears the acronym LGBTQ+ Pride but is regularly named only Pride. It is the main gathering of the LGBT movement; Primarily serving to promote freedom and equality of different sexual orientations/identities. This party was created following the 1969 riots in Stonewall in the United States. Pride marches are held in many countries around the world, usually during the month of June, the month of pride.
