World Health Day is an international day dedicated to the promotion of health.
It is celebrated each year on April 7 to mark the anniversary of the creation of the World Health Organization (WHO), and provides an opportunity to mobilize action around a public health theme that concerns the whole world.
It is one of eight official WHO campaigns for global public health, along with World Tuberculosis Day (24 March), World Immunization Week (the last week of April), World Malaria Day (April 25), World No Tobacco Day (May 31), World Blood Donor Day (June 14), World Hepatitis Day (July 28), World Antibiotic Awareness Day (November) and World AIDS Day (December 1).
