First, Dragons (How to Train Your Dragon) is an American 3D animated film, directed by Dean DeBlois and Chris Sanders, released in 2010. It spawned two sequels, Dragons 2 in 2014 and Dragons 3: The Hidden World in 2019, as well as several other spin-off works.
The screenplay is inspired by a children’s novel by Cressida Cowell published in 2003 and translated into French in 2005 under the title How to train your dragon, although the story differs a lot from the original.
