Did you know that for Christians, Easter is the most important holiday of the year. This recalls the resurrection of Jesus, which is located two days after the Passion in the New Testament, more precisely on the third day.
Most of the time, we speak of Easter in the plural, but that does not mean several dates. In French, it is the way of distinguishing the Jewish Passover (or Passover) from the Christian holiday of Easter.
It is the first Sunday after the full moon following March 21 that Easter is fixed, which is why this holiday is not static. Some Christian churches choose to observe the Quartodecimal Passover in conjunction with the Jewish Passover.
