In Native American culture, the dreamcatcher, is home-made from Ojibwe. Composed of a willow hoop, and threads in the shape of a net, decorated differently for each dreamcatcher. According to popular belief, the dreamcatcher prevents bad dreams from invading the sleep of its holder. Acting as a filter, it captures the dreams sent by the spirits. It preserves the beautiful images of the night and burns away the bad visions at the first light of day.
