First, the lion is carnivorous, it is a mammal of the feline family. After the tiger, it is the second largest feline in the world. The female is called a lioness and the young are called lion cubs. They are differentiated by several other felines by their group life, a band of lions includes between two and thirty individuals.
The male lion rarely hunts, it is he who is in charge of fighting intrusions on the territory and threats against the troop. He is nicknamed “the king of beasts” thanks to his mane which has a Sun-like appearance.
