Doodling is a form related to graffiti, it is a “free” graphic activity. It is more or less automatic, mostly uncontrolled and consists of a line made by an individual. Doodles are produced by children from twelve months to adulthood, made with their hands on any surface.
Until 1920, this activity was generally badly perceived. This activity was allowed only for the very young, until the academic apprenticeship of drawing.
Doodling is recognized throughout the surreal art world today.
